Unwilling to go public, the stuff nightmares are made of, and my heart broke a bit when I read this...
It's been a while since I bought a Porter Cable "Restorer" drum sander and all I can say is that it just may be the best sander I've ever had.
That said, it is not a do everything sander but, for its specific use (taking off lots of stuff fast), it really does rock.
The best part is that it is nearly dustless when used with a shopvac which is impressive with the amount of wood/glass/whatever it eats up. Factor in that it is super light it almost seems purpose built for sanding bottoms and suchlike.
Truly an awesome tool.
